Owners Allen Barlow & Rob Gannon
The Homewood School of Music is the premier teaching studio in Birmingham for music instruction. The school features a world class team of Birmingham’s best and most experienced instructors and offers lessons in guitar, bass, piano, voice, drums, strings, brass, and woodwinds. Founded by two of Birmingham’s most sought after guitar instructors, Allen Barlow and Rob Gannon, both formerly of Fretted Instruments of Birmingham, the Homewood School of Music was conceived from the idea of providing a place for Birmingham’s best to come and teach without the “corporate” environment of a retail location. It is a place designed and fueled by a passion for music education. Our teachers are not only passionate about education, they also genuinely care about enriching the lives of their students. The collective experience of our team of instructors ranges from seasoned symphony musicians to rock and jazz artists who have toured the world. Our aim is to provide Birmingham with the best quality in music instruction for any instrument.
